2006- 2009
As a starting point I wanted to make a light steelstring guitar that would just keep together under string tension to get maximum volume and richness. These guitars were made with necks constructed in the Spanish way, so the neck and neckblock are one piece, without the need for a dovvetail, pen or screw joint. To do so, to prepare the neck angle is very critical for the result, soundwise and playwise. Some good sounding D-Styles are out there, but I found it hard to keep consistency in the instruments.
