#86 Lap Steel

overzicht

December 2014,
commission, USA

An unusual request to make a 12-string lap steel guitar like a 12-string guitar, with octave string pairs. The base is an African solid padouk body with a lacewood top. The angled pickup gives the bass strings a bit less sharp attack. The string pairs are close enough to be played by fingerpicks. The custom made topnut makes sure all strings are aligned with their top in line so they can all be played by the slide bar.
